Job Title:  Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)

 

Job Description:

As a Certified Flight Instructor at Marsh Flying Services (MFS) you will be the primary trainer/teacher of student pilots to obtain their Private Pilot License in Cessna 172 aircraft owned by MFS.  Training will be based out of El Dorado/Captain Jack Thomas Airport in El Dorado, Kansas.

 

Duties:

• Teach student pilots in a one on one setting

• Teach ground briefings

• Demonstrate safe flight maneuvers to student pilots

• Facilitate safe learning environment for student pilots

• Communicate with MFS Staff and students regarding student progress

• Communicate with MFS any aircraft maintenance issues

• Other duties as assigned by MFS owner (Pilot Services- airplane deliveries, maintenance assistance, aircraft cleaning)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Flight Instructor (Airplane Single Engine Land)

• Ability to effectively communicate with students

• Ability to effectively teach both ground briefings and demonstrate maneuvers

• Current FAA Medical

• Effective communicator

• Honest

• Willingness to learn and adapt

• Available. An ideal candidate will live close enough to the airport that transportation time does not become hazardous to scheduling. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI)

• CFI-I (Instrument Instructor)

• Teaching experience

• Mechanical aptitude

• Friendly

• Hard Worker

 

Compensation:

• $40 per hour of instruction given (Ground briefings and Flight Instruction in the aircraft)

• $20 per hour for other work (non flying work)
